About the Role

The Commercial Director will lead both the Account Management and the Business Development efforts in the country. Manage C suite relationships, open sales opportunities and meet client needs, by driving sales and digital marketing operations excellence on behalf of the client.
The commercial Director is skilled in client servicing, relationship building, and business development. This responsibility includes maintaining stable client relationships and achieving growth. Driven to not only meet customer outcomes but develop and lead a talented sales team with a culture of success. The commercial Director is an active member of the Philippines’ Leadership team and is reporting into the Country Manager.

Expectations from you

  • Lead and manage high value Pharma and Medical Device client accounts with overall responsibility for the client relationship in the Philippines.
  • Liaison between the client and the organization.
  • Manage/advise clients, and establish a healthy and long-term relationship. 
  • Cultivating relationships right across the industry opening business development opportunities.
  • Help clients achieve meaningful customer connections (touch points) via engaged events and programs that are targeted and that support the client objectives.   
  • Project manage the client brand managers/BUD, internal (India & Local) resources for project development and on-time delivery.
  • Ensure projects and deliverables are on time and within budget.
  • Able to translate and understand Client’s challenges, issues, and business.
  • Ensures execution of planned events/activities is seamless, by managing internal and external stakeholders efficiently
  • Help the client understand the value of our work, through post-event analysis, synopsis, and ROI assessments
  • Support the Regional team to gather feedback from clients via CSAT and measures project performance with internal metrics.  
  • Identifies future opportunities to help the client grow, and Develop new business solutions/growth in partnership with the Product development team and potential clients/partners.
  • Account planning, segmentation, and pipeline development.
  • Managing the sales lifecycle process from the first meeting to client signing, handover to
  • Pharma solutions, account expansion, and renewals.
  • Achieve growth & meet sales targets
  • Advisor to the Partnerships and Content teams, on desired TA and contents.
  • Performance monitoring of team and reporting to leadership.

People management

  • Build a high performing team that surpasses business objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and empower Sales team, to grow as the business grows.

Skills Required

  • 8-10 years of experience in account management for High value clients in an advertising / marketing industry, online media portals or marketplaces (service oriented) 
  • Having worked with pharma and MD clients would be preferable
  • Demonstrated ability to grow accounts and build client relationships
  • Strong regional market knowledge
  • Excellent command over English spoken, written  
  • Experience in managing people and teams, able to establish good rapport externally and internally
  • Problem solver, Agile and Smart / Logical Thinker
  • Demonstrated track record of client relationship development and service for key/large accounts
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to be organized and manage project and client deliverables with a team and independently
  • Strong Negotiator and able to work with different departments
  • Must be proactive, a self-starter and an excellent communicator both verbal and written
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Able to create coherent and persuasive presentations with proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Academic Qualifications

Bachelor/Master’s degree.
